Take the Duke Street exit from 395. Take a right on S Pickett Street, take the next Right onto Valley Forge. Go all the way to the end and turn left into the Brigadoon Townhouse complex the street that runs through the complex is Gretna Green Court. Park in any unmarked parking space. It's also exactly 1 mile from the Van Dorn metro station.

Affirmation DC Booth at the Capital Pride Festival

It’s time again for the Capital Pride Festival and this year’s theme is “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet!” Affirmation DC is proud to host a booth during this year’s festival on Sunday June 13, 2010.

We are in need of 11-15 volunteers to cover the booth for the following times:

Setup; 8AM-11AM; 3 people needed
1st Shift; 11AM-1PM; 2-3 people needed
2nd Shift; 1PM-3PM; 2-3 people needed
3rd Shift; 3PM-5PM; 2-3 people needed
4th Shift and Cleanup; 5PM-7PM; 2-3 people needed

Volunteers will represent Affirmation DC by letting Pride festival guests know about our organization and sharing our stories as LGBT Mormons (if you are comfortable doing so). We plan to have Affirmation marketing materials, gay Mormon buttons, and sign-up sheets for new members. Come out and support us and make a few new LGBT LDS friends!
